It’s been a full year since the Cohen Commission released its report on the decline of Pacific salmon, yet the federal government has yet to implement any of the recommendations.
This first anniversary of the release of the Commission’s recommendations is an opportune time to remind government to follow the clear direction to rebuild salmon populations.
Voice your support for the Cohen Commission recommendations. With one click you can contact your local MP today to demand urgent action.
It’s a decision that will support more than just salmon — bears, killer whales and dozens of other species depend on this incredible fish. Salmon also play a foundational role in our economy, culture and health.

Four years later, the offspring of the 2009 Fraser sockeye salmon are returning to spawn in poor numbers. Nothing is worse than standing by and doing nothing when you know you can help.
Salmon play a foundational role in British Columbia’s economy, culture and health. Let’s give them the protection they deserve.
